Paula Haughey in the Forbidden City in China

Hi, I’m Paula Haughey (that’s pronounced a bit like Haw Hee, the kind of noise a donkey makes!)  Ok, so my favourite things are reading, watching films, going on picnics and travelling to new places. I love, love, love to read. I read pretty much everything and anything. When I was growing up my favourite  stories were adventures like Enid Blyton’s Famous Five, C.S. Lewis’s Narnia stories and the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boy mysteries.  Right now I’m reading a story about a cowboy who ends up restoring a lighthouse in Mexico!

So what do I do? I work as a freelance editor helping other people with their books – I helped Elizabeth Singer-Hunt publish her Jack Stalwart series. I look after my little boy, and of course I write, write, write. Sometimes I start writing at 5 o’clock in the morning – yes, that’s right, at 5am when any sane person is fast asleep, I’m writing. I must be mad!

Oh, and did I mention that I love doing puzzles, eating Maltesers and that my favourite colour is a kind of sea green?
